Checkpoint Six/GTA 6 Characters

The GTA 6 cast: everyone Rockstar has actually introduced

Eight people with official portraits, two of them protagonists, and — this is the part the wikis keep getting wrong — not one confirmed villain among them. Here is the revealed cast of Leonida as Rockstar has presented it: who they are, how they connect to Lucia and Jason, and where the story deliberately goes quiet.

A love story with a body count

Every GTA reinvents its lead. VI’s reinvention is that there are two of them, and they are together — not partners-in-crime as a gameplay gimmick, but an actual couple whose relationship is the spine of the story. Rockstar’s own pitch is blunt: Lucia’s post-prison fresh start with Jason gets pulled into a criminal conspiracy stretching across the whole state of Leonida, “forced to rely on each other more than ever.” The premiere footage runs that arc in miniature — a pickup that goes wrong, a party that ends badly, and two people deciding the only way out is through.

The protagonists

Lucia Caminos

“The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got”

The first female lead in a mainline GTA since the series went 3D, and Rockstar did not play it safe with her. Lucia opens the story walking out of Leonida Penitentiary — the fresh start she has planned is a modest one, and the state has other ideas. She grew up in Liberty City, learned to fight from her father, and carries the kind of practical fearlessness that reads less like an action hero and more like someone who has already lost enough to stop flinching.

Everything shown so far — trailers, screenshots, the premiere — frames the game through her decisions first. If VI has a single face, it is hers.

Jason Duval

“If anything happens, I’m right behind you”

An Army veteran who drifted into the Leonida Keys and into the drug-running economy that has kept those islands liquid since the ’70s. Jason works for Brian Heder, wants an easy life, and is precisely the kind of person who never gets one. His line in the sand is Lucia: whatever the conspiracy costs, the footage keeps returning to a man who has decided she is worth it.

Where Lucia brings the will, Jason brings the aim — the premiere’s action beats lean on his military competence, and the pair read as two halves of one very bad plan that might just work.

The supporting cast

Cal Hampton

Jason’s friend · conspiracy enthusiast

Happiest at home with a beer, a wall of private browser tabs and a radio locked to the Coast Guard frequency. Cal is Rockstar’s love letter to a very specific kind of Florida hermit — paranoid about everything, and in this story, probably right about most of it.

Boobie Ike

Vice City legend turned mogul

Turned a street reputation into an empire: real estate, a strip club, a recording studio. Boobie is what Vice City does to ambition — polishes it, monetises it, and keeps one hand on the old connections that built it. His orbit pulls in half the criminal economy of the city.

Dre’Quan Priest

Only Raw Records

Started out dealing, but the ear for talent is real and so is the ambition: Dre’Quan intends to conquer the music world on his own terms, through his label Only Raw Records. In a state where every legitimate business is three handshakes from a felony, a record label is a fascinating thing to be building.

Real Dimez

Bae-Luxe & Roxy

Friends since high school with the savvy to turn shaking down local dealers into rap tracks, cash and a relentless social feed. Dimez are the game’s sharpest piece of satire so far — the point where Leonida’s crime economy and its attention economy turn out to be the same economy.

Raul Bautista

Bank robber · crew builder

A seasoned bank robber assembling crews across the state — reckless enough to make the jobs lucrative and dangerous in equal measure. If GTA VI keeps the heist DNA of V, Raul is the most likely reason Lucia and Jason end up inside a vault.

Brian Heder

Keys smuggler of the old school

A classic drug runner from the glory days of Keys smuggling, now comfortably retired into middle management: he owns the boat yard, lends Jason a place to live, and lets younger people take the risks. Every GTA has one character who remembers how things used to be done. Brian is this one — and in the Keys, the old ways involved a lot of low-flying planes.

What Rockstar has not told us

No named antagonist. No confirmed actors — the casting sleuths have their theories, and some may prove right, but Rockstar has announced nothing, so we publish nothing. No character page for whoever is on the other end of the “deal gone wrong” the premiere is built around. That silence is deliberate: Rockstar introduced the world’s players and kept the plot’s engine covered. Whoever Lucia and Jason are actually up against is the game’s best-kept secret with 81 days on the clock.
